An investigation is being conducted by the Pocola Police Department into allegations made against an employee of the Pocola School. According to Monty Guthrie, School Superinten- dent, on Tuesday afternoon, April 14, the first allegation was made against the employee. He said he held a meeting regarding the accusations, after which he immediately notified the police. Then, on Wednesday, the employee resigned.
Guthrie declined to discuss the name, gender and position of the employee citing the confi- dentiality rights of employees and the ongoing investigation. He said no arrests have been made so far and that the Pocola Police Chief said he would be releasing more information in the coming days.
