Russell Garrett of Arkoma was arrested September 7th after he wrecked his motorcycle at around 3:30 a.m. According to Ft. Smith Police Sargent Jason Thompson, Garrett 46, was traveling west on S. Y Street, just past the Wheeler Ave intersection, when he drove his motorcycle off the road to the right, crashing it into a ditch.
Garrett was the only person involved and he was not injured, police said. He was given a sobriety test after admitting he had been drinking. Garrett failed the test and was then placed under arrest on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless driving.
