It was announced on July 23 in a news release that Joetta Tyler-Hyde of Sallisaw has been sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to pay restitution of $100,505. Tyler-Hyde, 54, was formerly the Roland Deputy Town Clerk. She was found guilty of theft of federal program funds between 2009 and her resignation in January 2013.
Tyler-Hyde will serve her sentence at the Bureau of Prisons beginning September 15. After her prison time is served, she will be placed under home-detention for six months, followed by three years of supervised release.
