Office Opens In Alma To Assist Flooding Victims

Residents affected by the May and June flooding in nine counties in Arkansas are now able to seek assistance at an office in Van Buren.  The facility is at the old Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Building at 615 Pointer Trail Drive.  It was set up by officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, along with the U. S. Small Business Administration.

Included in the nine counties are Crawford, Garland, Sebastian and Sevier.  Residents will be given information regarding assistance programs from officials, as well as receiving help with aid applications.  The office will be open Monday thru Saturday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday.  The facility will be open daily until services are no longer needed.
