Arrested Made In Auto Parts Theft

Houston Sparkman, 21, has been arrested in connection with the theft of a trailer containing over $20,000 worth of auto parts.  The incident took place on Saturday, May 30th.  The own- er of the trailer had parked in the parking lot on the Arkansas side of a Choctaw Casino and stayed in the hotel.  According to a news release, the trailer was stolen overnight, then re- ported the next morning.

The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office said surveillance footage showed a suspect in an older model Ford F-150 pickup truck driving off pulling a trailer.  The trailer was found empty in Pocola around 1:30 p.m. the same day it was stolen.  Authorities said the auto parts were later recovered and Sparkman was taken into custody.

According to Sebastian County Detention Center records, as of 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16th, Sparkman had not bonded out of jail.  He faces charges of breaking or entering and theft of property.
