Search Continues For Missing Ft. Smith Man

William Darrell Buchanan, 51, was reported missing at the beginning of last week.  The Se- bastian County Search & Rescue Unit, along with local authorities, are continuing to search for Buchanan.  He was last seen near the intersection of Fianna Circle & Jenny Lind Road, walking into nearby woods.  Jeff Turner, Sebastian County Emergency Management Director said areas near Fianna Hills and the surrounding areas between Arkansas 253 & U. S. 271 are being searched by crews.

According to Buchanan's sister, Lisa Buchanan, he had been mentally ill and has been off his medicine since the day he went missing.  Buchanan is described as a white male, black hair and brown eyes.  He weighs approximately 180 pounds and is around 5' 11" tall.
