Stranded Cattle Now Safe

In Crawford County, there were almost 200 cows stranded due to flood waters.  The owner of the cattle, Jerry Gill, had to use a boat for two weeks in order to check on them.  He was un -able to take them hay.  They had access to a piece of land approximately the size of half a football field.

The Crawford County Department of Emergency Management said the owner was able to move the cattle Tuesday afternoon through an area where the water had receded and put them in a barn.  He has enough hay to feed them for at least a week.
