Steel Horse Motorcycle Rally A Success

Dennis Snow, the director of the first-ever Steel Horse Motorcycle Rally, is calling the rally a success.  He said it exceeded their expectations.  According to Snow, the event which ran from Friday May 1 to Sunday May 3, was attended by an estimated 25,000 people and 10,000 motorcycles.

The only incident they had was that on Sunday, someone stole a banner that was hanging almost 10 feet above Garrison Ave.  Charge will not be filed if whoever took it, will bring it back Snow said.  They will get video footage from the bank camera and see who it was.  The cost of the banner was approximately $50.

One business owner said in a couple of days, they did around two weeks-worth of business.  Snow said he hopes the rally raised at least $50,000 which will be donated to four local chari- ties.  He is already planning ahead to next year's rally.
