Van Buren Couple Arrested In Arizona

Wallace McMaster, 59 and his wife, Sherri McMaster, 56 from Van Buren, have been arrested in Arizona on suspicion of transporting drugs to bring back to Arkansas.  A news release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office stated a traffic stop was being conducted near Prescott, AZ when the McMasters started acting very nervous.  A consent search was then performed, at which time deputies discovered more than a half-pound of packaged metham- phetamine and a marijuana cigarette.

According to the release, Wallace McMaster admitted to deputies the couple's involvement in the transportation of methamphetamine with the intent to sell in Arkansas.
