Students Injured In Waldron School Bus Accident

According to Arkansas State Police, a Waldron school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle.  It happened around 3:40 p.m. Friday when the bus driver, Mark Dye, attempted to make a u-turn at the intersection of U. S. 71B & State Hwy 250 and was hit by a vehicle driven by Mollie Helton of Waldron.  Several students are recovering from injuries.

Superintendent Gary Wayman said, for now, the driver is not transporting any children.  However, Dye has not been suspended or fired.  He had been involved in prior accidents.
