Update On Family Dollar Robbery

One of three possible suspects has been arrested in connection with the robbery on May 23 of the Family Dollar located at 3201 Grand Ave.  Donovan Cobbs, 23 of Ft. Smith, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery and on two warrants unrelated to the robbery.

According to a news release from Police Sargent Daniel Grubbs, Cobbs was seen on surveil- lance footage, entering the store minutes before the robbery, at which time he walked the perimeter, leaving without making a purchase.  Afterwards, the other two suspects entered the store, one was carrying a semi-automatic handgun.  They took an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled the scene on foot.
