Attorney General Warns Of Danger From Apps

A consumer report has been published by Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge alerting people to the danger of some phone apps.  Personal information can be stolen from phones.  Apps downloaded from sources that have not been verified can allow cybercriminals access to your information, then using it for their own purposes.

She said apps can be very convenient, but depending on the phone's security settings, app companies can collect personal information such as call logs, phone and email contacts, texts, calendar dates and the device's location.  They can then sell the information to an- other company.
