Cedarville Woman Arrested

22-year old Ashley Owens of Cedarville has been arrested on suspicion of felony second degree battery and misdemeanor interference with emergency communications.  Owens allegedly caused a family member to break a hip.

According to an arrest report, Mercy-Ft. Smith nursing staff called police regarding a domestic violence report from Erma Richmond.  Richmond told police she and Owens had gotten into an argument and that Owens hit her form the side, causing her to fall onto her hip.  She claims Owens would not allow her to call for help for over an hour. Police were told by Owens that Richmond had tripped over a toy.
