Sapper Stakes Competition Held At Ft. Chaffee

For three days, twenty combat engineer teams, from both the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard, were at Ft. Chaffee to compete in the 2nd Annual Sapper Stakes Competi- tion.  The teams totaled more than one hundred soldiers.  They are some of the best Army Combat Engineer Teams from across the country.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Dwight Ikenberry, they are putting their teamwork and knowledge of explosives, weapons, route clearance and urban welfare to the test.  They ended the competition with an awards banquet Wednesday, September 2.
