Great American Milk Drive

The Great American Milk Drive began Monday, August 31 and will run thru September 26.  It is being held in conjunction with September being Hunger Action Month.  The Milk Drive is being held at CV's and Marvin Saver's Club.  Customers will be asked if they want to donate $1, $3 or $5 when they go to check out at the register.  The money will go directly to food banks in the form of vouchers.  The River Valley Food Bank will then give  vouchers for a gallon of milk to families in need.

Ken Kupchick with the River Valley Regional Food Bank said the Food Bank is always in need of food, and milk is one of the items most requested by families.
