Investigation Into Fire At Ft. Smith Business

There is an ongoing investigation into a fire that occurred on September 2 at the Ft. Smith Waste Paper Company.  It is located on N. 2nd Street between C Street and D Street.  There was a body discovered in the building that has been identified as that of 56 year-old Stephen Gately.

According to police, the medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.  The fire was extinguished quickly.
