Aquatics Park To Open Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching.  Along with that is the much anticipated opening of the Parrot Island Waterpark in Ft. Smith.  It is located at Ben Geren Regional Park.  Accor- ding to Kevin Settle, City Director, it will be the only municipal water park in Arkansas to have a wave pool.  Included in the features will be several water slides.

General Manager Bill Miller said that a UV strobe will be used to treat the water, which means less chlorine.
