Around 3 a.m. Friday morning, a Van Buren man was reported missing by his girlfriend. The man, who is in his fifties, was camping near the Mulberry River with family and friends. He decided to go for a ride on his four wheeler overnight. According to Anthony Boen, Franklin County Sheriff, when the ATV became stuck, the man proceeded to try to locate the camp- site on foot in the dark.
A little after 7 a.m. Friday, search and rescue crews found him. He was not near the camp. Boen said the man was checked out by Paramedics on the scene. It did not appear that he would need to be taken to a hospital.
