In March of this year, Huntington moved their City Offices across the street into a new 3,000 sq ft facility. It is considered a symbol of pride for the community of 635 residents. Accord- ing to Mayor Gary Lawrence, city officials have been provided with more work space.
The new City Hall now sits on the site of Seaman's Store, which was in business in the 1890's. The history of Huntington is one that is rich and unique in mining. Options are being considered by the City Council on how to use the old City Hall building, which is still functional.
