AR Men Arrested In OK Traffic Stop

19 year-old Ethan Cagle of Hackett and Dylan Thomas Larson, 20 of Springdale, face unlaw- ful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and misdemeanor unlawful pos- session of drug paraphernalia.  The two were stopped by Chuck Sutterfield, a McAlester Police Officer, who noticed the passenger in the Honda Civic was not wearing a seat belt.

Sutterfield said in an affidavit that he could smell an odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car, as he was speaking to both subjects.  Officers were told by Cagle that there was approximately five pounds of marijuana in the car.  Sutterfield discovered a large bundle of cash in a backpack in the trunk, along with packages in a camo bag.

Both suspects were taken to the Pittsburg County Justice Center.  Cagle was booked into jail, Larson was not.  The two cooperated with drug investigators which lead to arrests in Salli- saw and Ft. Smith.
