The Parrot Island Waterpark helped out with a fundraiser for one of the area's nonprofit organizations, Saturday. The Arc for the River Valley of Ft. Smith received 10% of the daily fee into the facility for the park goers that showed an invitation upon entering. According to the park's General Manager Bill Miller, invitations had been given out by the Arc for the River Valley at their different events and to people involved with the nonprofit organization.
Miller said Parrot Island will be open reduced hours beginning August 17 until September 20. Tiny Tot Time will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. After school swimming is scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays Parrot Island will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
