Jessica Sterling, who has been charged with stealing a Greenwood patrol car, then crashing it into a gas well, appeared in court June 24. Sterling, 23, appeared before a Sebastian County judge via video conference, due to her currently being behind bars at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center. Her bond was set at $15,000.
Sterling was arrested June 16 after fleeing from police in her vehicle. She was then placed in a police SUV, after which she managed to get into the driver's seat, driving off and pro- ceeded to crash into a gas well.
