The Thunder On The Mountain music festival that was to take place June 26th thru the 28th, has been cancelled. According to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Topeka, KS, the reason was that a financial partner pulled out of the agreement. The event was to be held at the Mulberry Mountain Lodging & Events Center north of Ozark.
After hearing of the cancellation, Lance Carpenter, a Nashville artist who was one of many scheduled to perform, decided to do something. He is putting on a three-day festival at Byrds Adventure Center in Ozark. Tickets are already on sale at the cost of $75. Carpenter, who is from Ozark, said some of the bands coming people will know, some they won't.
People who purchased tickets to Thunder On The Mountain can expect a refund, according to their Facebook page. Included in the acts that were to perform at the festival were The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band and Carrie Underwood.
