Golf Course Expansion To Be Done First Of July

The Ben Geren Golf Course will be able to add more target greens to their practice facility because of the expansion being done.  An updated chipping green and bunker are also being implemented.  The target greens that are to be added are a 25, 50 and 75-yard green.

According to Channon Toland, Parks Administrator, the golf course's marketability, as well as options, will be enhanced by the expansion project, which is estimated to cost approximate- ly a $1,000.  The funds for it are coming from the park's operational budget.  The construc- tion of the project was to be completed by mid-May.  However, due to the rains hindering progress, it will be finished by the beginning of July.
