Early Morning House Fire In Ft. Smith

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, a house fire was reported near the intersection of  32nd Street on Waco Street in Ft. Smith.  Battalion Chief Stanley Cole said when they arrived flames were shooting out of the roof of the home.  He said it took crews about twenty minutes to get the fire under control.  It appeared to have started toward the      back of the home.  Further investigation will be done by the Fire Marshal.

No one was home at the time of the fire.  Due to the conditions of the inside of the house, firefighters on scene are not sure if anyone was actually living in the house.
