Robbery Suspects Run Out Of Gas

Hakeem L. Jackson 19 and Jonathan N. Rogers 18, both of Russellville, and two juvenile females have been arrested by the Van Buren Police Department in connection with an aggravated robbery that took place Sunday, June 7 in Van Buren.  Jackson and Rogers were apprehended at approximately 8 p.m. the same day by police as they were walking along Arkansas 59 near the Police Police Department, after they had ran out of gas.  The females were discovered standing beside the Vista Plaza Laundry.

The name of the 21 year-old victim has not yet been released.  According to a news release, a loaded handgun and property belonging to the victim has been recovered.
