The Field of Dreams Sports Complex, as many other places, is in need of cleanup of debris and damage left by last month's flooding. To prevent additional mold, Paul Dunn - Director of the Field of Dreams, has started working on the buildings removing sheet rock. $100,000 has been appropriated by the Van Buren City Council to be used for the cleanup. This repre- sents the city's insurance deductible. According to Mayor Bob Freeman, as much as 35% could be received by the city from the state and 100% from FEMA.
Alderman Alan Swaim said at their meeting, that when Dunn became aware of possible flooding, he moved equipment to higher ground. Swaim commended him for his actions. The value of the equipment is over $100,000.
