A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for the new splash pad located at West End next to the Compass Park at 100 N. 'A' Street. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. on July 2nd. The cost of the splash pad is estimated at $335,000.
Some of the features are spray features and water fountains with LED lighting. The water used in the pads is treated and re-circulated. According to Jeff Dingman, Ft. Smith City Administrator, the pad will more than likely be operational before the ceremony.
